The Disney Destiny Has Surpassed Another Major Milestone!

If you are a frequent reader here at MickeyBlog, you know that we are eagerly awaiting the debut of the Disney Destiny later this year.

The latest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Destiny, will celebrate Disney’s iconic stories, with a particular focus on the heroes and villains that fans love.

With just months to go until Destiny sets sail, the ship has surpassed numerous major milestones lately.

The last time we checked in, the vessel was getting ready to leave its home at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and head to the North Sea for its sea trials.

Now, we are back with another update.

A Monumental Moment

Before heading to its year-round homeport of Port Everglades in Florida Lauderdale, Florida, the Disney Destiny had to undergo conveyance, the process of transporting the ship to open water for the first time.

During conveyance, the Disney Destiny traveled 20 miles down the Ems River to reach the shores of Eemshaven, the Netherlands.

Now, over the course of the next few weeks, the ship will endure its sea trials before embarking on its transatlantic voyage to Fort Lauderdale!

The Disney Destiny will make its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025.
