It’s spooky season in Disney World and there are many ways that you can celebrate! You can grab exclusive food items around the parks and resorts, decorations are up in Magic Kingdom, and there is a bunch of fun merchandise available.

Halloween in Magic Kingdom
The most festive thing you can do is probably Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom. And Disney has released some tips for you!
planDisney’s Guide to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is happening on select nights from now through the end of October, and planDisney has put together a guide on how to get the most out of your visit!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
You can see the full episode on the party right here. But Disney also released some answers to the most asked questions and how to best plan for the party — let’s take a look!
When to Arrive
The party begins at 7PM, but you can get into Magic Kingdom as early as 4PM if you have a ticket to the party. Just pick up your party wristbands at the entrance to the park.

One of the planDisney’s pro tips is the following:
- If you have tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and are already in Magic Kingdom, you do not have to leave the park to get your wristband. You can pick up your party wristbands at select locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park. (Panelist Ana Paula)
You can get wristbands at places like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, or Tortuga Tavern.

Costumes & Trick-or-Treating
Everyone is invited to wear a costume to the party, as long as they follow the official costume guidelines.
Here is planDisney’s pro tip on costumes:
- Dressing up is optional, but this party is your chance to embrace it! And don’t forget to bring an extra bag to take all your treats home in. (Panelist Shantel H.)

As for trick-or-treating with allergies, don’t worry! You can pick up a teal treat bag and then get a token instead of candy. Then, take your tokens and redeem them for allergy-friendly treats at one of two locations: the Liberty Square Ticket Office or the Chamber of Commerce.

Here is planDisney’s pro tip for getting allergy-friendly treats:
- When guests arrive to pick up their allergy-friendly treats, they’ll be able to choose from a variety of goodies, and they’ll even be able to see an ingredients list for added peace of mind. (Panelist Jennifer S.)

The tip from planDisney is:

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
This fireworks show is hosted by Jack Skellington at Cinderella Castle! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy venture into a haunted house where surprises, and a few villains, are waiting around every corner.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
The stage show at the party is all about the Sanderson Sisters in front of Cinderella Castle! The witch sisters summon some of Disney’s most infamous villains for a musical performance perfect for spooky season.

Rides & Characters
A bunch of the rides are open during the party, and they usually have much shorter lines! A few rides even get special spooky overlays just for the party, like Mad Tea Party and Space Mountain.
As for the characters, there are a bunch of rare ones available to meet during the party! You can see our full list right here.

Jack Skellington and Sally Meet-and-Greet – Town Square Theater
The pro tip from planDisney is:
- Check out the frightfully fun overlays on select attractions like Space Mountain, the teacups, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor for some extra spooky thrills and laughs! (Panelist Alison S.)
The biggest tip is to make sure to plan before the party, so you don’t miss out on things that you want to do! It will help you enjoy things more in the moment.
