Gina Carano Has Landed Her First New Series Since Settling With Disney
Just weeks after settling her discrimination lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm, Gina Carno is heading back to television.
According to a new report from Deadline, Carano will star in the vigilante series Logan Reign, which will be filmed in her hometown of Las Vegas.
“Logan Reign is someone I have been craving to bring to life,” Carano said.

“I’m bringing every ounce of who I am as an actress and what I have learned in this industry to this role and at this moment I have a lot to give.”
The Lawsuit
Carano, of course, filed a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm last February, arguing that she was unjustly fired from The Mandalorian for voicing her political opinions on social media.

In the suit, the former MMA star accused Disney of harassment and defamation after she refused to “conform” to the company’s views on issues such as Black Lives Matter, preferred pronouns, and election interference.

Disney quickly responded, arguing that it had a constitutional right not to associate its artistic expression with Carano’s speech.
The Settlement
Last month, Carano and Disney reached a settlement that was seemingly largely in the actress’s favor.

Following the end of the lawsuit, a Disney spokesperson seemed to indicate that Carano would be included in the studio’s future productions.
“We have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies, Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff, and she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect,” the spokesperson said.

“With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future.”
