The 2027 Disney Skyliner Refurbishment Dates Have Been Revealed

The Disney Skyliner has been one of the great additions to Walt Disney World in recent years, making getting around the resort a breeze.

The Most Magical Flight on Earth has transformed Disney World’s transportation, connecting previously isolated resorts, including Disney’s Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and the Art of Animation, to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. By extension, the Skyliner has also made Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, Yacht and Beach Club, and even the Magic Kingdom more accessible than ever.

Personally, the Skyliner is my favorite way to travel across Walt Disney World!

The Skyliner Closes Yearly For Refurbishment

If you frequently stay at a Skyliner Resort, you likely know how vital the gondola system is to your Disney vacation.

With that in mind, Disney World tends to give plenty of warning when the Skyliner will be closing for refurbishment.

For example, in April, Disney announced that the transportation system would be closed from January 25 through January 31, 2026.

Now, the resort has already announced the 2027 Skyliner refurbishment.

The Gondolas Will Close For a Week in January 2027

According to an update on the Walt Disney World website, the Disney Skyliner will be closed from January 24 through January 30, 2027.

As is tradition, the Skyliner is only closed for one week in January. Nevertheless, guests who are planning on staying at a Skyliner resort may want to adjust their trips accordingly.

While the Skyliner is down, complimentary bus service will be available from Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resorts to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
