Meet the Pixar Place Hotel Cast Member Who’s Been Making Magic For a Decade
If you have ever stayed at Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Place Hotel, you have likely been greeted by Daniel Lopez, a door attendant Cast Member.
Armed with just a Sulley glove, bubble wand, and smile, Daniel has been bringing happiness to others for years now, exuding the kind of magic that makes Disneyland The Happiest Place on Earth.

This is Daniel’s story.
Creating His Iconic Look
Daniel’s Disney journey began at Paradise Pier Hotel, where one of his leaders noticed his passion for making memories and magic.
Inspired by the Cast Member’s playful personality, his leader gifted him a Mickey hat. Daniel’s signature look was born.

Eventually, Daniel would add a Mickey glove and a bubble wand to his ensemble.
“I was inspired to become a cast member to bring joy and happiness to guests,” he recalled.

While Daniel traded in his Mickey glove for a Sulley glove, his dedication to guests remains the same.
A Moving Moment of Magic
When asked what his most cherished memory of working as a Cast Member has been, Daniel instantly recalled a particularly moving moment when a mother and her blind daughter approached him to ask if the young girl could touch Daniel’s Mickey glove.

As she did, her eyes filled with tearful joy.
“She knew. She knew she was at Disneyland,” he recalled.
The Secret to Daniel’s Success
When asked how he has been able to spread so much joy and happiness, Daniel credited his leaders for allowing his creativity to flourish.
“They allow me to express myself, and I love them for that,” Daniel says.

Needless to say, Daniel’s spirit is contagious.
“When I first met Daniel, he was so full of life and energy. He’s a wonderful example of what a cast member should be,” shared Ron Silagyi, general manager of Pixar Place Hotel.
The Real Disney Magic
After ten years on the job, Daniel still finds the same joy and wonder in interacting with guests as on the day he started.
