PHOTOS: Skulls Return to the Adventureland Entrance Sign at Magic Kingdom
Last week, we brought you the exciting news that the Adventureland entrance sign had returned to Magic Kingdom after a week-long absence.
Over the last several months, we have seen a series of significant changes at Walt Disney World. This has included Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurbishment, the demolition of the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island, and numerous smaller projects.

It was against this backdrop that the Adventureland entrance sign was removed. At the time, many wondered if it would ever return.

Thankfully, that was not the case.
The Sign Return Last Week
Last week, the Adventureland entrance sign made its triumphant return to Magic Kingdom.

As we previously reported, the sign had undergone a refurbishment and was cleaned up.

Now, the final missing details from the sign have been restored.
The Skulls Have Returned
When visiting Magic Kingdom today, we were thrilled to see that the Adventureland sign skulls had returned.

Here is a closer look.

As you can see, the collection of skulls once again sits atop the sign’s horizontal beam.
With the return of the skulls, an aura of foreboding once again greets guests as they enter Adventureland.

It is good to see that Disney is still leaning into the dark side of Adventureland, even as they have pivoted away from the original theming of Frontierland next door.
Thankfully, the Adventureland entrance sign is back and better than ever.
