PHOTOS: Disney Vacation Club Villa & Villains Lounge at Bay Lake Tower Tour
There are so many different places to stay at Disney World that it can be hard to decide the best place for your next visit! We try to make it easier for you by breaking down every single hotel so you can see which one might be the best fit for you.

Recently, we were invited by Disney to take a tour of parts of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. So, come along with us to check out
Bay Lake Tower
Bay Lake Tower is the Disney Vacation Club property at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This is a Deluxe Villa Resort that gets access to the most perks at Disney World.

Bay Lake Tower
It’s also located right next to Magic Kingdom and on the Monorail loop, so it’s a very convenient place to stay if you’re planning on spending a lot of time at that park, or even EPCOT, since it’s easily accessible by the monorail.

Now, let’s go take a look at two special spaces in Bay Lake Tower!
Top of the World Lounge — A Villains Lair
First up, we’re starting out at the Top of the World Lounge — A Villains Lair inside of Bay Lake Tower.

This Disney Vacation Club lounge has been recently refreshed and given a new look (and name) inspired by the Disney villains.

Around the lounge, you can see some items from the wardrobes of certain villains, as well as artwork that would fit into their own galleries. It’s also home to some eats and drinks!

One of the main appeals of this lounge is that it has incredible views since it’s located on the top floor of the tower! You can see all around you, like the monorail running through the main building of the Contemporary…

…Space Mountain…

…Cinderella Castle…

…and the Grand Floridian.

As you can imagine, this makes it a very popular spot to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks during the evening.

This lounge is only available for eligible Disney Vacation Club Members and is subject to capacity restrictions. It runs on a first-come, first-served basis until it reaches capacity.

Luckily, there is a good amount of seating up here!

And it’s all on theme!

But, to guarantee your spot, you can book a dining experience like the Wicked Wind Down or Enchantment at the Top Dessert Party to get into the lounge.

To be eligible to enter the lounge, you must be a Disney Vacation Club Member with access to Membership Extras.

You also are only allowed to use the lounge when using your membership to stay at a Disney-owned-and-operated hotel at Disney World.

The lounge is open from 6PM to midnight every day, but there are blockout dates, like holidays and special event nights. During some special events, members may have access to the outside deck areas of the lounge.

Let’s talk about two of the dining experiences here! First is the Wicked Wind Down, which includes a cocktail and appetizer from the lounge’s new Disney villains-themed menu, along with the chef’s selection of a sinfully sweet dessert of the day.

This is to be enjoyed while watching the fireworks in Magic Kingdom from a specially reserved area of the rooftop terrace! It’s $55 per person.

You can also book the Enchantment at the Top Dessert Party, which features a dessert buffet, an assortment of adult beverage offerings, exclusive lounge access, and reserved fireworks viewing. This is $89 per adult, and $49 per child.

2 Bedroom Villa
The Disney Vacation Club Villas were recently refurbished at Bay Lake Tower! Let’s go inside an updated 2 Bedroom Villa that sleeps up to 9 people.

Walking inside, you will see the living and dining area.

This villa has a full kitchen along with an island and full-sized fridge!

There is also a dining table in here.

The living area includes a couch, coffee table, chair, TV, and more.

Fun artwork can be found all around the space!

Here’s a classic for the old-school Disney fans.

But, most are in a Mary Blair-inspired style.

There’s another one above the couch!

Speaking of the couch, this actually pulls down into a queen-sized Murphy bed.

And, underneath the TV is a twin-size bed that pulls down. Take it from someone who has slept on one of these as an adult, they’re very comfy!

Moving into the first bedroom, you will find a king-sized bed.

There is also a TV above a counter and some storage. Connected to the counter is a desk or vanity area with a small couch next to it.

Here’s a peek inside the bathroom! It has a full tub and shower along with one sink.

The second bedroom has two queen beds in it.

Here’s another look:

There is another TV over the counter with storage underneath, and a vanity and couch to the side.

The bathroom over here is separated between the tub/shower and toilet and the sink area.

Here’s another look!

It’s pretty spacious.

Both bedrooms have access to the balcony outside.

There are some great views!

And, the artwork can be found throughout.

Here’s another look.
