REVIEW: Coastal Eats is Finally Open at EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival!

The event has kicked off, filling the park with can’t-miss eats and drinks. The festival officially opened on August 28th, and we’ve already warmed up our taste buds with visits to Brew-Wing Lab, Flavors from Fire, and Mexico, among many other booths.
A few booths did not open until today, and we’re heading over to Coastal Eats to dig into something new!

Coastal Eats, located near Creations, is serving up some delicious flavors!
Menu
The menu has two new items and one returning to it this year! Here’s what guests can grab at the booth:
Food & Drinks
First up, we got the new Peruvian Ceviche with mahi mahi, shrimp, sweet potato, chulpe, choclo, and leche de tigre for $7.50!
So, we weren’t huge fans of this dish. The mahi mahi and shrimp tasted a bit overcooked and fishy to us!
The sweet potato seemed undercooked as well. The flavors just didn’t really come together for us — there a lot of acidity from the vinegar and onions. But, if you enjoy ceviche, you might like this!
Next, we got the new Seaside Pot Pie with shrimp, scallops, crawfish tails, and lobster bisque topped with puff pastry for $7.50.
This tasted like lobster bisque in a puff pastry! We were surprised by this one.
We loved the pieces of shrimp, scallops, and crawfish inside! There was no fishy taste and everything was cooked perfectly.
Finally, we got the returning Lump Crab Cake with cajun-spiced vinegar slaw and rémoulade for $7.50.
This crab cake is delicious! The crab was fresh and tasty and the cakes are mostly crab instead of filling.
There is a ton of cajun flavors here thanks to that rémoulade sauce! It’s got a nice kick to it but it’s not too spicy and it really made the dish.
As for drinks, you can get the returning Boyd & Blair Pomegranate Codder for $12.50, or the new Rileys Lookout Sauvignon Blanc for $6.50!
