Mark Your Calendars: Date Revealed For Bakso’s First Birthday Party
Earlier this month, we brought you the exciting news that Disney was getting ready to celebrate Bakso’s first birthday later this year with a “wild” party.
The undisputed star of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bakso has captured the world’s attention over the last twelve months, first through Disney’s Tiger Tuesdays series and later on the Maharaja Jungle Trek.

During this time, we have watched as the young Sumatran tiger experienced a series of firsts alongside his mother, Sohni, and eventually grew into a star.
Bakso’s Birthday
With Bakso’s first birthday on the horizon, Dr. Mark Penning took to Instagram earlier this month to tease that festivities were on the way.
“🎉 Can you guess who’s turning ONE? Get ready for a wild birthday party at Disney’s Animal Kingdom later this month. 🧡 #BirthdayRoar #FirstBirthday,” he wrote on Instagram.
Now, we finally know when the shindig will take place!
The Festivities Will Take Place Later This Month at Animal Kingdom
Dr. Mark Penning once again took to Instagram today and announced that Bako’s first birthday party will be held on September 26 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
“It’s true, Sumatran tiger Bakso’s first birthday is nearly here! 🥳🐯 Mark your calendars for a wild celebration of the first year of life for this (not-so) little meatball. He’ll be getting special birthday enrichment in his habitat on Maharajah Jungle Trek,” he explained.
With so many fans from around the world, Bakso’s big birthday should be an unforgettable event.
