Two Major Changes Have Been Made To Muppets Courtyard
A major chapter in the history of Disney’s Hollywood Studios came to an end with the closure of Muppet*Vision 3D.
After 35 years, the Muppets were evicted from the park as Disney prepared for the construction of Monstropolis.
Over the last several months, we have seen Muppet*Vision and Muppets Courtyard slowly be dismantled. The last time we checked in, Stage 1 had been demolished. Despite this, Muppet Theater has remained largely intact and visible above the construction walls.

Now, we have a significant update.
The Latest From Disney’s Hollywood Studios
When visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, we were able to see that two major changes have been made to the Muppet Theater.

The first is that the building’s marquee has been covered in a black tarp.

Here is a closer look at the current state of the marquee.

In addition to the tarp, we were able to see that the Gonzo figure has been removed from the theater’s clock.

Here is what it looked like before.

Obviously, the theater is starting to look vastly different.
A New Era Is Unfolding Before Us
With the demolition of Muppets Courtyard, we are clearly entering a new era in Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ history.

Over the next few months, we should see more major changes take place at Hollywood Studios.
