Recently, Disney filed permits for multiple attractions and experiences, including DINOSAUR, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney Springs, and more. These permits range from general updates to full construction.

Disney filed a new permit for updates to the Grand Floridian’s entrance, and the parking lot and is pending review.
New Permit

Disney submitted a new permit to update the entrance and parking areas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The project is called GF Modification Project C and was filed on September 8, 2025 with the South Florida Water Management District.

The work will connect the Grand Floridian entrance to the World Drive Phase 3 improvements. These updates include roundabouts and roadways around Magic Kingdom to help traffic.
The resort’s main entrance will be reconfigured to link directly with two of these new roundabouts.
The permit also affects the Wedding Pavilion, shifting its entrance farther south and creating a new driveway for easier access.

The plans will include a new employee parking lot, as well as re-striping and adjustments to existing lots.
The project covers 5.6 acres in total, and no additional details or construction timeline have been announced at this time.
