WATCH: New ‘Tron: Ares’ Trailer Declares “Military AI Is the Future”
43 years after audiences followed Kevin Flynn to The Grid, the story of TRON will continue when Tron: Ares hits theaters on October 10.
The third installment in the TRON franchise will see Jeff Bridges reprise his role as Flynn, opposite Jared Leto’s titular Program.

This time around, instead of humanity entering the digital world, AI is invading ours. As The Grid and the real world collide, the human race is in for a rude awakening.
In addition to Bridges and Leto, Tron: Ares will star Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning.

A New TRON: Ares Trailer Has Arrived
With just weeks to go until Tron: Ares hits theaters, Disney has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated film.

In the clip, Lightcycles materialize in the ENCOM building as an executive proudly states, “Military AI is the future!”
From there, Leto’s Ares and Jodie Turner-Smith’s Program are shown interacting with the real world. Whether the Programs mean well or spell humanity’s doom remains to be seen.

“Your world is running out of time,” Ares warns. “But I can help you.”
