The City of Anaheim Is Considering Building a Gondola to Connect Disneyland With Other Points of Interest
According to a new report from The Anaheim Investigator, public records show that Anaheim city planners are considering building an aerial gondola system ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
If you have ever taken a ride on the Disney Skyliner, you know that traveling by gondola can be a breeze.
Now, Anaheim is considering just such a transit system to connect the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (near the Honda Center and Angel Stadium) with Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center.
What We Know About the Project
The Investigator report reveals that the project would cost up to $125.7 million and would be built by Swyft Cities.

The concept was initially presented last year, and funding could be secured through a public-private partnership.
Documents reveal that Clay Griggs, Swyft Cities’ CEO, has already discussed the project with “key stakeholders,” including Disney.

Should the project proceed, it would be easier than ever to visit Disneyland Resort. The proposed gondola system would not only connect key points of interest, but would also have stops along the way.

At this time, Anaheim has not set aside funds for the project, and it is far from a sure thing.
