TRON Lightcycle / Run is Getting a Limited-Time ‘Ares’ Overlay

Lightcycle/Run Is Getting a ‘TRON: Ares’ Overlay
At this morning’s Walt Disney Studios showcase at Destination D23, Yvette Nicole Brown announced that a limited-time Tron: Ares version of TRON Lightcycle/Run is coming to Walt Disney World and Shanghai Disney Resort.
Celebrating the upcoming release of TRON: Ares, the new overlay will feature a new color scheme, replacing Lightcycle/Run’s iconic blue with orange hues.

On the ride, guests will now weave through twisting tunnels of vibrant red and orange light trails.
Additionally, Lightcycle/Run’s soundtrack is getting an update!

“The pulsing industrial sounds of Nine Inch Nails will drive the ride’s energy, pushing your experience between the Grid and reality into a fully immersive, futuristic symphony of light, speed, and sound,” Disney teased.
Limited Time Magic
The new TRON: Ares overlay will debut at Magic Kingdom on September 15 and Shanghai Disneyland on September 16.
At this time, Disney has not announced how long the Ares overlay will stick around.
