PHOTOS: Join Us For D23’s ‘A Goofy Movie’ Throwback Premiere at Disney Springs
Fans from across the world have begun to arrive at Walt Disney World, where Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney will kick off tomorrow!
Ahead of Disney World’s biennial convention, D23 is inviting fans to celebrate 30 years of A Goofy Movie with a throwback premiere event at the AMC Disney Springs!

As massive fans of Goofy, Max, and Powerline, we head over and check out the festivities!
Walking the Red Carpet
The fun kicked off at Stargazers Bar, with a red carpet event!
As you can see, A Goofy Movie fans turned out in droves. The event was sold out!
There, fans were given three mystery Disney+ throwback pins and told to trade with other fans.

As you can see, the photos were captioned to provide historical context.
We were lucky enough to be invited as media, which means we scored this sweet Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers lanyard.
The Goodie Bag
All guests attending the A Goofy Movie Throwback Premiere received a fantastic goodie bag full of A Goofy Movie memorabilia.
The goodie bag included a pamphlet that instructed fans on how to make the most of all the event had to offer.

Also inside the bag was a recreation of Goofy’s iconic vacation map, along with a set of stickers.
Finally, fans also received Lester’s Possum Park pennant….
….and an exclusive Goofy Movie pin!
‘A Goofy Movie’ Photo Ops
Before the film began, fans had the opportunity to snap photos in front of various backdrops.
There was a Powerline photo opp…
…A Lester’s Possum Park background…
…and of Max and Goofy on the open road.
Throughout the AMC complex, D23 decor could be found.

The movie tickets themselves were designed to look like tickets from Powerline’s 1995 World Tour.

Then, it was time for A Goofy Movie trivia.
The Stars Arrive
Before A Goofy Movie itself was shown, the film’s cast and crew took the stage to discuss the animated classic.
Bill Farmer (the voice of Goofy), Jason Marsden (Max), and the film’s director, Kevin Lima.
The cast was then joined by the film’s stars — Max and Goofy!
Needless to say, the cast was thrilled to be together again.
