Walt Disney World Wait Times for Third Week of August 2025
According to the calendar, summer won’t end for another month.
At Walt Disney World, the images tell a different story. With most schools returning to session, Disney has turned its focus to Halloween.

We’ve already had multiple Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party events.
Still, with school starting, Disney attendance typically plummets. Did that happen this past week?

Here are Walt Disney World’s wait times for the third week of August 2025.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom
The animals don’t celebrate Halloween. They’re all about Christmas.
I would love to see a zebra dressed like Woody or Buzz, though. I’m being goofy, but there’s a point here.

Animal Kingdom usually suffers the most when school starts, as this is Disney’s most family-friendly park.
Did that happen last week? Here are the park’s average wait times:
- Avatar Flight of Passage – 67 minutes, up 4
- Na’vi River Journey – 51 minutes, down 1
- Kali River Rapids – 39 minutes, down 2
- Expedition Everest – 36 minutes, up 5
- Adventurers Outpost – 33 minutes, up 1
- DINOSAUR – 21 minutes, down 1

Overall, guests stood in line for an average of 41 minutes, which is actually one minute more than last time.
So, Animal Kingdom held steady as school began.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With two different constructions at this park, it’s gonna be a bit chaotic for the next year.
We’ll all happily put up with the aggravation if it gets us Monstropolis and The Magic of Disney Animation, though.

Final Thoughts

Overall, guests spent an average of 25 minutes in line at each Magic Kingdom attraction.
That’s two minutes more than last time and means that all four parks had increased wait times this past week.

So, attendance increased during the third week of August, a bit of a rarity at Disney World.
Also, with Food & Wine starting this week, the parks may hold current attendance levels until after Labor Day.
