Why Is No One Talking About THAT Walt Disney World Revelation
Earlier this week, Walt Disney World provided updates on numerous projects that are set to open next year.
In the course of one afternoon, Disney shared a preview of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, the updated Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, the Mandalorian addition to Smugglers Run, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Finally, there was the Magic of Disney Animation update.
The Magic of Disney Animation
Last month, Disney made the shocking announcement that a new Magic of Disney Animation experience was coming to Hollywood Studios.

Replacing the Star Wars Launch Bay and the Animation Courtyard, the new area will recreate the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.
Inside a replica of the Roy E. Disney Animation Building, guests will enjoy interactive animation experiences inspired by Disney’s Once Upon A Studio.
Topping it all off, a large Sorcerer Mickey’s Hat will return to Hollywood Studios, recalling the iconic structure that once drew guests down Hollywood Boulevard.

For fans of a certain age, the idea that an animation experience was returning to the Studios was a dream come true. Then, it got even better.
New Details
During Disney’s Play ‘n’ Preview earlier this week, fans got more details about the new Magic of Disney Animation.

We now know that the experience will house a new Drawn to Wonderland meet and greet space and a Disney Jr. show.
While all of that sounds exciting, the biggest revelation about the new Magic of Disney Animation was that the experience, Disney said, will “bring some beloved characters back to this area of the park.”

As part of The Magic of Disney Animation update, Disney shared a new poster for the experience.
The updated graphic features a notable addition front and center- Robin Williams’ Lost Boy.

Back to Never Land
For those who don’t know, when the original Animation Tour opened at the Disney-MGM Studios in 1989, it featured a short film titled Back to Never Land.

In the movie, Robin Williams and Walter Cronkite explained the animation process. During the presentation, Robin had his wish of becoming a Lost Boy from Peter Pan fulfilled.
When the Disney-MGM Studios animation tour closed in 2003, Back to Never Land was removed from the park.

Now, however, it looks like Williams’s Lost Boy will make an appearance in the new Magic of Disney Animation Experience.

What a time to be alive.
