The WWE Is Coming to ESPN MUCH Sooner Than Expected
In the lead-up to the launch of their new streaming app, ESPN has added an unbelievable amount of content to its library over the last several months.
The headliner came when the network agreed to a deal with the NFL that saw it acquire the NFL Network and the RedZone IP.
Other large deals have included a new agreement with the Savannah Bananas, the purchase of a stake in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), and a new college sports deal.

Then, of course, there is the WWE.
ESPN’s WWE Deal
On the heels of their new NFL agreement, ESPN announced a $325 million deal with the WWE that will see wrestling’s biggest events, including WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam, move from Peacock to ESPN.

The last time we checked in, reports indicated that the new five-year deal would begin next year. Now, ESPN has accelerated that timeline.
The Partnership Will Begin Sooner Than Expected
According to a new report from Deadline, the WWE will actually make its ESPN debut on September 20, with the inaugural Wrestlepalooza.

The event will stream live on the new ESPN app at 7 PM ET. Subsequently, all of WWE’s premium live events will stream on ESPN.
“On September 20, WWE and ESPN are coming together for a can’t-miss event to kick off our new partnership,” WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said in a statement Wednesday. “The biggest Superstars in WWE. The biggest brand in sports media. Are you ready?”
