Disneyland Resort Removing Early Theme Park Entry Next Year
We got a ton of Disneyland Resort news this morning!

Pixar Place Hotel is losing its dedicated entrance into Disney California Adventure, Disneyland Resort Hotel guests will receive one Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection during their stay, and 2026 Disneyland Resort bookings have officially opened.
But that’s not all–a popular resort hotel perk is being removed next year. Here’s all the details.
Early Theme Park Entry Removed
One of the most popular resort hotel perks is the exclusive time guests get in the parks. This perk has quite a long, controversial history at the Disneyland Resort.

Prior to the COVID shutdown, the perk used to give guests an entire hour in one of the parks each morning. When the perk was brought back after the resort reopened, that time was dwindled down to 30 minutes; however, it was available in both parks each morning. (Meaning you could choose either park as your starting park and you’d get early entry.)
Then, the program changed to its current iteration, only giving guests 30 minutes in one park. (So you have to choose your starting park based on where Early Entry will be that day.)

In another controversial move, Disney is removing Early Entry entirely beginning January 5th, 2026. Instead, resort hotel guests will receive one Lightning Lane entry for a Multi Pass attraction of their choice during their stay. (Currently, guests will only receive one entry for their entire stay, not one entry each day.)

According to Scott Gustin on X, this move was made due to Early Entry not being “widely used.”
NEW: Starting Jan. 5, all guests staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel will receive one complimentary Lightning Lane entry for a Multi Pass attraction of their choice.
Also NEW: Beginning Jan. 5, Disneyland Resort will end the Early Theme Park Entry program.
