Disney-Pixar’s Elio Lands on Digital and Blu-ray This Fall
Disney-Pixar’s newest animated adventure, Elio, is ready for liftoff, and now fans can enjoy the movie at home.
PEOPLE exclusively revealed earlier today that the film will be available on digital Aug. 19, and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD Sept. 9.

Fans are excited about the home release and the additional hours of exclusive bonus content! There are cool featurettes, a gag reel, deleted scenes, and a peek at Pixar’s Easter Egg inclusions.
A collectible SteelBook® edition will feature “astronomically appealing artwork and packaging showcasing Elio’s interstellar journey and alien companions.”

Elio follows 11-year-old Elio Solís, a young scientist who struggles to fit in on Earth before being transported to space. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador, Elio must navigate eccentric alien lifeforms and a cosmic crisis to find where he truly belongs.
The voice cast includes Zoe Saldaña as Elio’s aunt Olga Solís, Brad Garrett, Brandon Moon, and Jameela Jamil.

Saldaña is excited for the home release and shared her personal connection with the movie:
“There’s been a common theme in a lot of the choices that I’ve made in my career in the last year: It’s to be a part of stories that dance around the theme of grief,” says the Oscar winner, 47. “And as someone that lost a parent when I was 9 years old, I can certainly sympathize with Elio a lot more than I can sympathize with Olga.”
