Where Each Photo is Taken on Every Ride in Disney World
If you’re going on a Disney World trip soon, I bet you’re planning on taking a lot of photos of your adventures! Luckily, you don’t have to worry about snapping them yourself on rides.

Many attractions have on-ride photos taken, and they’ll link directly to your My Disney Experience app if you’re wearing a MagicBand that’s also linked. But, where are all the photos taken so you know when to strike a pose?

New Haunted Mansion Merchandise – Disney World
I’m here to help — I’ve got a full list of where each photo is taken on every ride in the parks! There are some spoilers for the rides mentioned in this list, so be aware of that if you’re a first-time rider and don’t want to know anything about the rides!
Where Every Photo is Taken on Disney World Rides
Magic Kingdom
Pirates of the Caribbean — Adventureland
The photo on the Pirates of the Caribbean happens toward the beginning of the ride. It’s snapped right before the drop, by the skull and crossbones in the upper left part of the ride, once you have passed the skeleton standing up, holding the helm.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — Frontierland
It’s very obvious where the photo is taken on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — it happens during the final drop! You probably won’t even notice because you’ll be too busy screaming during the 50-foot drop.

Haunted Mansion — Liberty Square
The photo on Haunted Mansion is snapped pretty early on. It happens in the portrait hallway at the very end and is taken by the flash behind the Medusa portrait that will appear to be lightning.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — Fantasyland
Your photo will be taken on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train during the first hill and the camera should be on the left. Shortly after, a video is also taken, so you will get both a photo and a slow-motion video of you on this ride!

Space Mountain — Tomorrowland
There are two different tracks on this ride, so there are also two different cameras, but they’re basically in the same spot. The photo is snapped at the end of the star tunnel right as you’re turning the corner at the beginning of the ride — before you’ve actually gotten to the main coaster part!

Photo: Disney
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin — Tomorrowland
The photo on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is taken in the last room of the ride when you’re facing off with Emperor Zurg. The camera is right on Zurg so make sure you’re looking at him!

TRON Lightcycle / Run — Tomorrowland
It’s great to look at photos from TRON because they’re usually pretty funny! The photo is snapped during the launch, which is how the ride begins, and it is VERY fast, so you can capture some surprised expressions. There is also a slow-motion video taken during this part of the ride!

Photo: Tron Lightcycle/Run
EPCOT
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — World Discovery
The photo on Guardians of the Galaxy is snapped right after the start of the music on the ride after the backwards launch. As your vehicle enters its first turn, a pic will be taken as the ride kicks into gear!

Test Track — World Discovery
There is a picture taken of you on Test Track right as the doors to the outside open and you enter the super fast part of the track! It’s just as you’re being launched.

Photo: Disney
Frozen Ever After — Norway
There is one small drop on Frozen Ever After toward the very end of the ride and that’s where your picture is taken! It’s a great way to capture the whole family since there is no height restriction on this ride.

Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest — Asia
Expedition Everest is another easy one — the photo happens right as you’re entering the big drop! This is the drop after you go backwards on the ride.

Photo: Disney
DINOSAUR — Asia
After you have been chased through the ride, the photo is taken as you encounter the final Carnotaurus on the upper right, so look up toward the dino and strike your best pose!

Hollywood Studios
Tower of Terror — Sunset Boulevard
The main fun of the Tower of Terror are the big drops you get to experience in the tower! Your photo is taken during one of these drops and you’ll also get a slow-motion photo of you during a drop.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster — Sunset Boulevard
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starts out with a very fast launch, and that’s where you photo is taken! You’ll get a countdown on the screen above to prepare for the launch.

Slinky Dog Dash — Toy Story Land
The picture on Slinky Dog Dash can be hard to notice, but it happens after the four small hills and when you turn to the left.
