Fun Facts About the New 20th Anniversary Parade at Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary this year! There are a bunch of fun things going on, including special decorations, entertainment, food, and more.

There is also a new parade happening, and now, Disney is sharing some fun facts about the parade for you to enjoy!
Hong Kong Disneyland 20th Anniversary Parade
The 20th Anniversary celebration happening at Hong Kong Disneyland right now is “The Most Magical Party of All” and includes a new daytime parade! Let’s take a look at some of the fun facts about this new parade, “Friendtastic!”

First of all, it’s cool to know that this is the largest parade at Hong Kong Disneyland! It features 11 floats, over 100 performers, and 30 Disney characters.

Duffy and Friends have also made their big debut in “Friendtastic!” This is the first time you can see this group of friends on their own float. There’s even an all-new song that was created just for them as they make their way through the park during the parade called “What Friends Do.”

Also appearing in a parade at Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time are our friends from Encanto! You can see the Casa Madrigal from the movie brought to life complete with its magical windows, floors, and roof tiles dancing during the parade.

You will also see the members of Family Madrigal throughout the float!

The parade features elements that represent Hong Kong throughout it, like the colorful flowers blossoming on the opening and finale floats. These are inspired by the Bauhinia flower, which represents Hong Kong and is seen on its flag.

The skyline in Zootopia was actually inspired by Hong Kong! If you look closely, you will see a sign for Lion Rock, which is a mountain found in the city.

And, there is signage for “Cowoon,” which plays off the area of Kowloon. There is also a bubble tea billboard, which is a very popular drink in Hong Kong.

Finally, you can see Mickey Mouse playing the drums in this parade again! He’s playing live and it’s very fun to watch.
