Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside Room Refurbishment Timeline Has Been Extended
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, you know that it has been a busy year and a half at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.
Over the past eighteen months, Disney has done numerous refurbishments across both Port Orleans – French Quarter and Port Orleans – Riverside. Specifically, we have watched as the guest rooms at both resorts have undergone renovations. Additionally, the Doubloon Lagoon Pool at French Quarter was also spruced up last year.
When work wrapped up on the Port Orleans – French Quarter guest rooms earlier this year, Disney moved down the Sassagoula River to Riverside. Beginning in May, Disney has been refurbishing the rooms in Magnolia Bend, refreshing the lodgings as part of the resort’s cyclical refurbishment schedule.

Previously, Disney announced that the refurbishments would continue through January 2026. Now, that timeline has been updated.
The Room Refurbishments Will Continue Through February 2026
According to the official Port Orleans – Riverside website, the Magnolia Bend room refurbishments will now continue through February 2026.
Interestingly, Disney had extended the room renovation timeline at the French Quarter last year.

While the renovations will not impact the guest experience, guests may see or hear construction work in the area.
So, if you plan on visiting Port Orleans – Riverside early next year, make sure you plan ahead. Some rooms in the resort’s Magnolia Bend section will be unavailable, and you may hear construction noises during your stay.
