Magic Kingdom Park Reservation Policy Has CHANGED For Annual Passholders
A new chapter in Magic Kingdom history unfolded before our eyes earlier this month, when Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away made its highly anticipated debut.
The spiritual successor to the Main Street Electrical Parade, Disney Starlight blends cutting-edge technology with timeless Disney Storytelling to create another classic Magic Kingdom parade.

Ahead of the parade’s debut on July 20, Disney implemented a temporary restriction that required Annual Passholders to secure a park pass reservation to visit Magic Kingdom. With the advent of the new rule, Passholders could not hop over to the park after 2 PM.
The Change Was Temporary
At the time that the new restriction was announced, Disney made it clear that the new rule was in anticipation of high demand to see Disney Starlight and would only be in effect temporarily.

Now, it is my pleasure to report that the restriction has been lifted!
Passholders Can Once Again Visit
Beginning today, Annual Passholders can visit Magic Kingdom after 2 PM without a Park Pass reservation!
Per the official Disney World website, “the park reservation requirements for Magic Kingdom Park — which were in place from July 20 to July 27 — have ended.”

Walt Disney World Annual Pass
Note that the previous policy is now back in effect: “Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park).”
