Another Heat Advisory Issued for Walt Disney World this Weekend
Today is a great day to visit Walt Disney World. With the debut of Starlight: Dream the Night Away, Cool Kid Summer, and more, crowds are hitting the parks for summer vacation fun.
However, if you are lucky enough to be at WDW this weekend, you will want to take precautions to beat the heat.
Heat Advisory in Effect

A Heat Advisory has been issued for multiple counties in Florida, including Orange County and the Walt Disney World Resort, as temperatures and humidity levels rise across Central Florida.
The advisory is in effect from 12:300 PM today to 7:00 PM EDT on Sunday, July 27th. Heat index values between 108°F-110°F are expected.

Hot temperatures and high humidity can cause heat illnesses, so central Flordians and Disney guests need to be prepared.

- Actual Temps: Mid-Upper 90s
- Feels-Like Temps: Up to 110°F
- Risks: Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration

- Take frequent breaks indoors and take advantage of indoor attractions and shows
- Drink lots of water
- Use cooling towels, fans, or umbrellas
- Avoid outdoor shows or queues during peak heat hours
- Know the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness, nausea, headache, rapid pulse
