“Long Live the Pumpkin Queen” by Shea Ernshaw spent 37 weeks on the New York Times Bestsellers list. So now, Disney and Random House Children’s Books have published the sequel, “Hour of the Pumpkin Queen” by Megan Shepherd, and the book hit #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list!
The story is set one year after Sally’s wedding to Jack Skellington. Sally finds herself struggling with the challenges of being the queen of Halloween Town.

She’s being pulled in a lot of different directions thanks to her royal duties, her newfound family in Dream Town, and a desire to bring citizens from across the Hinterlands together.
During a potion demonstration at Sally’s inaugural Halloween exhibition, things go wrong, and Sally and her new rag doll apprentice, Luna, fall through a portal to Time Town. They discover that someone has messed with the clock that controls Halloween Town and now Sally can’t return to the present-day version of her home unless she’s able to find out who messed with the clock and reset the time.

So, Sally, must confront her deepest fears and decide what future she really wants in order to save her town and return home. This sounds like the perfect book to read for Summerween!
