Kermit the Frog Pays Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne — “No One Rocked Harder”
As soon as the world learned that rock legend Ozzy Osbourne had passed away at the age of 76 yesterday, tributes began pouring in from around the world. It was an outpouring of love from an eclectic group of musicians.
“He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods — a true legend,” Elton John posted on Instagram. “He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”
“Heartbroken by the news,” T-Pain said. “I was blessed to be able to cover War Pigs and get your recognition. Ozzy Forever 🤘🏿”

Among the multitude of musicians to remember working with Ozzy was Kermit the Frog, who posted a touching tribute to the late Black Sabbath frontman.
Kermit’s Statement
As shared by the official Muppet Instagram page, Kermit released a statement recounting his time working with Ozzy:
“No one rocked harder than the great Ozzy Osbourne. We loved working with him on our album “Kermit: Unpiggled.” He
recorded “Born to Be Wild” with Miss Piggy – the perfect song for both of them!” Kermit wrote.
“Every time we bumped into Ozzy over the years, he made us feel just as cool as he was. We loved having a friend like Ozzy Osbourne and we feel so lucky to have known him, worked with him, and experienced his music for so many decades.”
A Sad Day For Rock
News of Osbourne’s death was shared by his family, who wrote:
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
