VIDEO: Guess the TWO New Villains Joining This Year’s Oogie Boogie Bash!
Something spooky is on the way…can you guess what it is?

The Oogie Boogie Bash will return to Disney California Adventure next month–yes, next month. That means Oogie Boogie is currently preparing to fill the park with tons of frightful fun.
His preparations include choosing and revealing this season’s new villains–something party guests look forward to each year. This villainous reveal has become so popular that Disney drops hints each year, allowing fans to guess who the new villains are.
And we just got this year’s hints–let’s get to guessing!
New Villains at Oogie Boogie Bash
Over on Instagram, Disneyland posted a hint video for this year’s new Oogie Boogie Bash villains! Take a look:

The video opens with a large plume of green smoke, with shadows of twisted thorns growing into frame. Based on the greenery, this scene appears to take place somewhere near Grizzly Peak. (You can also hear the rumblings of Grizzly River Run’s conveyor belt in the background.)
If you ask us, this snippet seems to point to the return of Maleficent!

Next, we’re dropped somewhere near Pixar Pier–which can be seen in the background–where a cuff drops into frame. The music also changes, sounding similar to what we hear in The Incredibles.
With those hints in mind, we’re anticipating the debut of Syndrome!

Last month, Disney hinted at the arrival of two new villains with mysterious flames on the Oogie Boogie Bash map.
Those flames were located in Pixar Pier and Grizzly Peak–right where we predict the new villains will be, based on the hint video.

Based on previous artwork for this year’s party, the new villains will be accompanied by the return of Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb, Hades from Hercules, Agatha Harkness from Agatha All Along and WandaVision, Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco, Yokai from Big Hero 6, Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas (of course, it is his party).
