The Lobby at Disney’s Pop Century Resort Is Getting a Retro Refresh!

Have you been keeping up with all the updates taking place at Disney’s Pop Century Resort? (If not, we’ll catch you up to speed.)

The resort is in the middle of a huge refurbishment project, which is slated to last through mid-February 2026. So far, Everything Pop Shopping & Dining has been updated, and the guest rooms are getting refreshed in phases.

But that’s not all–the resort’s lobby is also receiving a retro makeover! Here’s everything you need to know.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort Lobby Refurbishment

In addition to the ongoing guest room updates happening at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, the lobby will also receive a “retro-inspired refresh”!

The refurbishment is currently underway and is expected to last through early October 2025. The lobby will remain open during the refresh, and all amenities will remain available. 

Of course, guests should expect to hear and/or see construction taking place in the area.

Briefly, from January 25, 2026, to January 31, 2026, the Disney Skyliner will also close for refurbishment. During this time, complimentary bus service will be available to guests.

The resort’s refurbishment project has grown in size since it was first announced, but we’re pleased to see Disney’s Pop Century Resort receive some well-deserved TLC! 

If you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort in 2026, keep in mind that the refurbishment permits do not expire until August 8, 2026. While this doesn’t mean the refurbishments will be extended to that date, it does mean Disney can push back the timeline, if needed.
