However, this new experience will also extend out into Animation Courtyard and the surrounding buildings, giving them a whole new look! For this transformation to occur, the area will need to close soon.
Animation Courtyard and Disney Jr. Play and Dance! will be closed starting September 25th, 2025. Once Disney Jr. reopens with the area, it will have a fresh, new show!
But don’t worry, The Little Mermaid — a Musical Adventure and Walt Disney Presents will remain open for you to enjoy!
The reimagined courtyard will be The Walt Disney Studios and take inspiration from several of the Disney buildings found over in Burbank, California. It will include their own version of the Studio Theater where The Little Mermaid show takes place.

The studio grounds and courtyard area will feature lush trees and some familiar faces. Disney said to look around because you might just see some characters in the tree branches, lounging in the sun, or digging in the grass!
We can’t wait to see this new area come to life! Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates.
