Disney’s ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Gets Digital and Home Video Release Date
After a difficult start to the year, which saw Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Snow White underperform at the box office, Disney struck gold with the release of their live-action Lilo & Stitch.
Released to theaters on May 24, Lilo & Stitch quickly delivered a historic opening weekend. Grossing $182.7 million at domestic theaters over its debut frame, the latest Disney live-action remake gave the studio the best four-day Memorial Day weekend opening of all time.
Last week, the film became the first release of 2025 to cross the billion-dollar mark.

Now, Lilo & Stitch has its sights set on home video.
‘Lilo & Stitch’ Gets Digital Release Date
Today, Disney announced that Lilo & Stitch will be available on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Roku, starting July 22, 2025.

As with other recent Disney releases, the digital release will be accompanied by deleted scenes, bloopers, and behind-the-scenes vignettes showcasing the making of the film. These include:
- ‘Ohana Means Family: Making Lilo & Stitch – Learn how an animated classic becomes an instant live-action favorite. Explore the challenges of bringing Stitch into the real world, how the familiar images of the original were recreated, and join returning cast members on a set that embodies ‘ohana.
- Drawn to Life – Check out scenes from the animated original film alongside their live-action counterparts to see how these beloved key moments were faithfully recreated. And uncover some Easter eggs along the way!
The Film Is Also Getting a SteelBook edition
On August 26, Lilo & Stitch will be released on physical home media, including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.

There will also be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook edition featuring amazing cover art of Stitch breaking through the cover, as well as custom artwork on both the inside and outside.
