We’re still making our way through all the new debuts around Disneyland!

In celebration of Disneyland’s actual 70th birthday–which is today–a new wave of offerings debuted around the resort! Today’s debuts included a special edition map and button, new treats and merchandise, a birthday cavalcade, the new Walt Disney audio-animatronic, the song update at βitβs a small world,β and a free traffic ticket (we promise it’s better than it sounds).
With so many debuts, we’re still making our way through everything. So, without further delay, let’s head to Main Street, U.S.A. to check out another new arrival!

The banner has designs of Robert and Richard, along with artwork of films and attractions they wrote songs for, including The Sword in the Stone, Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, “it’s a small world,” and Carousel of Progress.

One of the building’s exterior pillars has a poster dedicated to their song, “It’s A Small World.” The poster provides information about the new verse, which is now playing at the attraction in both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom.
This new verse was written by Richard M. Sherman in 2023–nearly 60 years after the song was first composed–and builds on the song’s “hopeful message of peace across all humankind.”

The 70th anniversary celebration wouldn’t be complete without honoring the Sherman Brothers. We highly recommend stopping by to honor the profound impact the duo had/has around the parks and in some of our favorite movies.
