Never Too Late for Magic: Senior Besties Take First Trip to Disneyland
Some friends come and go, but best friends are one-of-a-kind. That one special person who just GETS you…and is around for all of the fun. Friendships exist throughout our lives, but some arrive later in life, like June (92) and Ann (88).
These two best friends recently experienced Disneyland for the very first time, and they make up for lost time with laughter, love, and in this case, a little Disney magic.
Best Friends
Mickey and Minnie, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and June and Ann! There are plenty of fun Disney duos, and these two will make you smile.

Introduced through their children when they started dating just three years ago, the duo quickly became inseparable. “They’ve known each other almost as long as [Alonzo and I] have been together,” says Lauria, “and they’ve been causing trouble ever since.”
But only the good kind of trouble. These two like having fun, especially at Disneyland. They were recently seen hopping out of their wheelchairs to dance in New Orleans Square, and their joy was contagious.

“[Experiencing the Disneyland resort] was a wonderful, fun, and exciting experience,” Ann told Upworthy in a recent interview.
“It exceeded my expectations and made my first visit to Disneyland a magical experience that I will never forget.”

For June, the cast members also left a lasting impression. “All the people were so kind to us and I will never forget how warm and happy and inviting they made me feel,” she said.
As Disneyland celebrates its 70th anniversary, June and Ann are a reminder that Disney’s magic and friendships truly transcend age. They embraced every magical moment at the park’s 70th anniversary, and bring that magic into their everyday lives!
