Well, we’ve been celebrating the resort’s seven decades of happiness for a few months now, but today is Disneyland’s actual 70th birthday! And, in true Disney fashion, a new wave of offerings were released today in celebration of the monumental milestone.
If you haven’t been able to keep up with all the new debuts, don’t worry–we’ve done the work for you.
Here are all the ways to celebrate the Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary today!
See “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” and the Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” officially debuts today at the Main Street Opera House! It begins with a pre-show video narrated by Bob Iger, and transports you into Walt Disney’s studio office, which is occupied by the first-ever Walt Disney audio-animatronic!

Keep in mind–there’s no standby queue for the show. You must join via virtual queue, which offers the following opportunities:
- 7AM: Guests must have a Disneyland Park reservation for that day
- 12PM: Guests must be in Disneyland Park or be in Disney California Adventure with a Park Hopper ticket
(If you’re trying for today, 12PM is your only option left!)

While you’re there, be sure to check out the “Evolution of a Dream” exhibit, featuring pieces that display how Walt Disney’s dream of Disneyland turned into reality. The location also has artifacts from The Walt Disney Family Museum, as well as items showcasing the history of audio-animatronics!

Hear the New Verse at “it’s a small world”
Over at “it’s a small world,” guests can hear the last verse, written by Richard M. Sherman as his last contribution to Disney! The update went into effect today, so guests visiting the attraction will get to hear the new, final verse.
