The Walt Disney Company Earns 137 Emmy Nominations
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 77th Emmy Awards, and once again, Disney had a strong showing.
Across its content brands and studios, Disney brought home 137 awards, with Disney+ and Hulu hosting 128 of the nominees.

Here is a breakdown of Disney’s nominees.
ABC Leads the Way
Looking at Disney’s brands and studios, ABC led the way with 38 nominations.

These included Abbott Elementary, which received its fourth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series; Jimmy Kimmel, who received his 14th nod for Outstanding Talk Series; and ABC’s game shows, which dominated their respective categories.
FX’s Nominees
FX, meanwhile, garnered 35 nominations, five of which are for Outstanding Program – Comedy Series. Notably, Dying For Sex earned nine nominations, including Series, Lead Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Writing, and Directing.

The Bear also received 13 nominations, including the first directing nod for Ayo Edebiri. Finally, What We Do in the Shadows received six total nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
‘Andor’ and ‘Agatha’
For Walt Disney Studios, Andor led the way with a series-high 14 nominations. Agatha All Along, What If…?, Music by John Williams, and The Acolyte also received nods.

Hulu’s Nominees
Hulu Originals earned 22 total nominations, with Paradise leading the way with four nominations. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years, and Only Murders in the Building also received nominations.

The latter show is once again up for Outstanding Comedy Series.
National Geographic
Next up, we have National Geographic, which received five nominations, including Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series. Other nominees included Life Below Zero and Erased: WW2’s Heroes of Color.

Disney Branded Television
Disney Branded Television continued its Emmy hot streak, with The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl receiving three nominations. Doctor Who also picked up a nod.

Finally, Disney Television Studios took home 45 Emmy nominations, including six Outstanding Program nods!
