How a Trip to EPCOT Sparked a Cast Member’s Lifelong Love of Animals
For many of us, our love for Disney began at an early age.
Whether you watched the Disney films, visited the parks with your family, or perhaps looked up to a particular princess, there is something about the magic of Disney that sticks with you, even as you get older.
Sometimes, it can lead to a lifelong passion or even a career!
With that in mind, I would like to introduce you to Brittany, an Animal Keeper at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Brittany’s Story
In a new video post on Instagram, Dr. Mark Penning shared Brittany’s story.
20 years ago, as a young girl, Brittany visited EPCOT, where she took a picture in front of the Dory statue outside The Seas With Nemo & Friends.
The photo was taken during Brittany’s first family vacation to Walt Disney World. During that trip, Brittany fell in love with the Seas pavilion, specifically because of all the animals housed within.
Sparking her interest in nature, the visit to the Seas would eventually lead Brittany to pursue a career working with animals.
Tree of Life
Today, Brittany works as an Animal Care Specialist at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where she takes care of numerous animals around the park, especially those housed around the Tree of Life.
