Freeform’s ‘Project Runway’ Trailer Shatters Viewership Records
As the Disney media empire has continued to grow, encompassing news, sports, and scripted television, Freeform has become something of an afterthought for fans.
Once one of the premier cable stations, Freeform has been surpassed by streaming services in the age of streaming. Now mostly a niche channel, the station has even been dropped by cable providers who balked at paying for Disney’s smaller networks.
Despite the current state of the station, Freeform occasionally delivers a major hit.

Against this backdrop, Freeform released the first trailer for Season 21 of Project Runway.
Project Runway’s Record-Breaking Trailer
After airing on Bravo and Lifetime for 20 seasons, the fashion-based reality series has made the move to Freeform. In addition to its new home, the show will also see the return of Heidi Klum. Based on the trailer, audiences are ready.

In the nine days since the Project Runway Season 21 trailer was released, the clip has amassed 42.7 million views across social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube).
That number gives Project Runway the highest-viewed trailer in Freeform history!

Season 21 of Project Runway will premiere on July 31 at 9 PM ET. Shortly after airing on Freeform, the episode will stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
Subsequent episodes will air at 10 PM ET.
