Join Us at the Disney on the Yard Event at Downtown Disney
This past weekend, the Downtown Disney District came alive with upbeat music, vibrant colors, and a joyful celebration as HBCU alumni from across The Walt Disney Company gathered for an inspiring Disney on the Yard event!
Disney fans and plenty of HBCU Alumni attended the special event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The fun included a DJ, dancing, and a surprise visit from a fan favorite!

Disney on the Yard is a powerful initiative focused on creating space, community, and opportunity for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) alumni and students.
Through partnerships with HBCUs around the country, Disney provides internships, mentorship programs, and career growth opportunities for HBCU graduates and talent at all levels for Black professionals and future leaders.

This weekend’s celebration included a ton of fun with live entertainment, games, and special happenings. Mickey Mouse even made a guest appearance:
Mickey Mouse led the band from the Esplanade through Downtown Disney at 6:45pm before dancing and working the crowd with the rest of the talented ensemble:
Amazing! Programs like the Disney College Program HBCU Cohort, Disney Future Storytellers, and the Innovation Challenge are just some of the ways this program is supporting emerging talent and creating positive impact for the community.
