Belle Causes a Stir with New Accessory in Beauty and the Beast Tour
The North American Beauty & the Beast touring production officially kicked off yesterday to enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations.
The reimagined show includes a talented cast of singers and dancers and an updated, refreshed look at the beloved musical.
However, one small update is getting a lot of positive feedback amongst Disney fans, especially for such a small change. It has to do with the look of our favorite characters, Belle.
New Look
What small change is causing such a big stir? Belle has reading glasses for the first time ever in a production of the musical.

Belle, portrayed by Kyra Belle Johnson, now sports a pair of chic glasses whenever she’s immersed in reading.

Belle fans of all ages immediately responded with heartfelt appreciation at Bella’s new look. Many acknowledged that they had worn glasses and were so excited to see a Disney character also wearing them.
