Donald Duck Has Returned to EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion

For years, Donald Duck has held court in EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion, meeting guests outside the Mesoamerican pyramid while donning his sombrero.

Last month, however, Donald flew the coop as the ongoing refurbishment of the Mexico pavilion necessitated that he relocate across the park.

Since that time, Donald has been meeting guests in the Magic Eye Theater lobby over in the Imagination pavilion.

For those unfamiliar, the Magic Eye Theater is located to the left of the Journey Into Imagination with Figment entrance. Currently, it hosts the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival.

Inside the theater, Donald met guests in his traditional blue sailor suit. While the meet-and-greet was enjoyable, it lacked the charm of the Mexico character experience.

Well, it is my pleasure to announce that after relocating for less than a month, Donald Duck has returned to the Mexico pavilion!

When visiting EPCOT today, we were thrilled to see that Donald is back in Mexico, once again wearing his sombrero.

It was great to see Donald back home again.

The meet-and-greet area also looked good!

The Pavement Refurbishment Continues

While Donald is back in Mexico, the pavilion’s pavement refurbishment is still underway.

Here is a look at the current state of the project.

As you can see, construction walls remain in place.

So, while things are back to normal, you may still see some construction when visiting Donald in Mexico!
