Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast Set for Galactic Overhaul at Disneyland Paris
Attention, Space Rangers! Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast at Disneyland Paris has temporarily closed for a major refurbishment.
The transformation includes new additions, refreshed paint, and an updated design, and the refurbishment is scheduled to last through the end of 2025.

Over the coming months, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Maintenance, and Central Workshops will collaborate on an exciting glow-up of this beloved Discoveryland attraction.
Everything from its exterior façade to the high-energy ride systems is being reimagined for a more immersive, high-tech guest experience.
What’s Coming
A New Look: The attraction’s iconic exterior, including its colorful towers, radars, and the nearly 2-meter Buzz Lightyear statue, will be completely repainted.
Neon lighting will be redone for enhanced nighttime glow.

Upgraded Blasters and Cruisers: Every Astro Blaster is being replaced with brand-new models for improved accuracy and more fun.
Ride vehicles will also receive new dashboards and fresh paint to match the futuristic upgrades.
Enhanced Lighting and Special Effects: Guests can expect an even brighter galaxy! The ride’s lighting will be fully updated, special effects refreshed, and interactive targets replaced for smoother gameplay and better precision.

Tech and Animatronic Touch-Ups: Additional behind-the-scenes updates include Audio-Animatronic repairs and technical refurbishments.
Though no specific date has been announced, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is scheduled to reopen at the end of 2025. We can’t wait to see the final results.
