Star Wars Actor Kenneth Colley Dies at age 87
Sad news for Star Wars fans today. It is with a heavy heart that we report that Star Wars actor Kenneth Colley has died at the age of 87.
His agent shared the announcement today, leaving fans saddened by his passing.

The talented actor was best known for his roles as Admiral Pitts, an imperial officer in command of Darth Vader’s flagship in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
It is reported that he died peacefully at his home in Ashford, Kentucky on Monday. He had unfortunately contracted COVID and further developed pneumonia.

Ken continually worked on stage, film, and television, playing a vast array of characters, from Jesus in Monty Python’s Life of Brian to evil and eccentric characters in Ken Russell films, and the Duke of Vienna and Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure for the BBC.”

Colley had initially been admitted to the hospital for an injured arm after a fall at home. Then he quickly contracted COVID, which rapidly turned into pneumonia.
He died peacefully at home, surrounded by friends at his bedside.
Talent Actor
Colley is known in the industry as a talented stage and screen actor. He starred in a variety of movie roles, including international productions.
In addition to his iconic role in Star Wars, he was also known for playing Jesus in Monty Python’s Life of Brian and for his voice-over work in the 2012 animated Lego production Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out. He loved gardening, art collecting, and fast cars.

His work in Star Wars and his strong connection to fans led him to participate in conventions and themed events all over the world. He is a fan favorite who will definitely be missed.
