Orlando Named Top Travel Destination for 4th of July
Buckle up, travelers, we are about to head into a holiday weekend, and many of you are traveling to Central Florida.
Brace yourself if you are heading to the Sunshine State. According to AAA, Orlando is the top travel destination for this July 4 holiday.

Orlando is the place to be this Independence Day. With millions of Americans hitting the road, it’s no surprise that Orlando is forecasted to be the most visited city in the country this Fourth of July.
According to AAA, more than 72 million Americans are planning to travel this July 4th weekend. That is a 3% increase from last year, and Orlando is at the top of that travel list.
Disney
Families are flocking to Central Florida for visits to Disney World, Universal Studios, water parks, resort pools, beach day trips, and even cruise ports.
AAA’s Mark Jenkins shared:
“Orlando is typically the No. 1 destination on our list, because people who are booking travel with AAA are often traveling as a family, and the No. 1 family travel destination is Orlando.”

With new experiences like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Cool Kid Summer, new shows and patriotic celebrations planned across the parks, Walt Disney World is a huge part of what’s driving travel to Orlando.
Florida is a Travel Hotspot
While Orlando is front and center, Florida dominates the top 10 national travel destinations in general.
Fort Lauderdale ranks fifth and Miami eighth, boosting demand for road trips, flights, and especially cruises departing from Florida ports. Extended weekends and well-timed holidays are helping make this surge possible.
