PHOTOS: Passenger Airlifted Off the Disney Fantasy After Medical Emergency
Just days after the harrowing incident aboard the Disney Dream that saw Disney Cruise Line Cast Members rescue a father and his young daughter who had fallen overboard, another amazing response took place aboard the Disney Fantasy today.
The Disney Cruise Line vessel was sailing the Mediterranean Sea this morning when a passenger suffered a medical emergency.
Jumping into action, the Disney Fantasy crew coordinated with the Hellenic Air Force Search and Rescue to dispatch a medical helicopter and airlift the passenger to shore, where they could receive emergency medical care.

Witnesses Were Amazed by the Operation
MickeyTravels agent Erin Mahoney was onboard the Fantasy when the incident occurred and was amazed by Disney’s response.
“The precision, professionalism, and teamwork between both crews were nothing short of amazing. A Hellenic Air Force team member was lowered from the helicopter and safely brought the passenger on board to receive critical shoreside medical care,” she reports
Photos from aboard the ship show the helicopter landing and providing the emergency rescue that the passenger needed.

For the second time in two days, the Disney Cruise Line has proven itself ready for any emergency.
