Disneyland Wait Times for July 2025

The weather is lovely, and everyone is going to Disneyland, even that one draft pick!

If you missed the story, the Anaheim Ducks, a team based on a Disney movie, selected a new player.

During the 2025 NHL Draft, the Ducks chose someone whose last name is – I swear to you – McQueen.

Even though Disney no longer owns the Ducks, the NHL Draft occurred in Los Angeles.

So, in a matter of hours, Anaheim whisked their future star away on a helicopter.

Soon afterward, McQueen was participating in a photo op at Radiator Springs, standing by a car with the same last name.

This unplanned Pixar/Mighty Ducks franchise bit of marketing synergy defines Disney’s recent luck.

I mean, Roger McQueen’s new hockey nickname pretty much has to be Lightning for branding purposes.

The hockey team they sold still bears the name of a Disney franchise, and now it will star a Disney character’s name, too.

That’s how well it’s going for Disney. And during the NHL Draft, we caught glimpses of the massive crowds at the parks.

It was only possible because of Anaheim’s draft pick, yet it worked as free advertising. Also, it made me wonder.

Were those early summer crowds representative of the parks? Here are Disneyland’s average wait times for July 2025.

Disneyland 70 is well underway at The Happiest Place on Earth, a statement that tells only part of the story.

As we speak, Disneyland Resort is technically only 69 years old. However, that will change on July 17^th.

On that date, Disneyland celebrates its 70^th anniversary, but the party got started in May.

So, Disney fans have already done plenty of Disneyland 70 activities. One remains, though.

On July 17^th, Walt Disney – A Magical Life will finally debut at the park, and it’ll be quite the curiosity.

Fans have already expressed divisive opinions about the idea, as have family members.

At least one direct descendant argues that Walt Disney never wanted to become an Audio-Animatronic.

Other living family members disagree, arguing that their ancestor would have felt proud.

Even the critics acknowledge that Disney has done a great job with the show, which has boosted interest.

In next month’s wait times, we’ll have two weeks of data to examine to determine the popularity of this show.

Overall, Disneyland guests stood in line for an average of 26 minutes, which is two minutes less than last time.

It’s a bit odd for wait times to decrease from May to June, but the Disneyland 70 event likely inflated attendance a bit when it began.

The big news at this park involves an impending closure.

Disney has finally confirmed the location of the upcoming Coco ride and Avatar area.

To build these attractions, Imagineers must reclaim some current land.

So, we’re about to lose Monsters, Inc., Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! as a byproduct of these builds.

On the bright side, you still have six more months to enjoy the ride, although I’m sad that Disney never plussed it.

Knowing that there’s a better version at Tokyo Disneyland has always bothered me. Ah, well. It’s over now.

Overall, the average Disney California Adventure attraction required a wait of 35 minutes, which is three minutes more than last time.

So, the crowds were technically slightly larger at Disneyland Resort this past month, but most of the longer lines were at DCA.
