What to Expect at the Disneyland Resort This July 2025
Hello, July!

Updated Sleeping Beauty Castle Banners – 70th Celebration
Are you visiting the Disneyland Resort this month? If so, congrats–you’ll have tons to do! From the continuation of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration to huge debuts hitting the parks for Disneyland’s actual birthday on July 17th, this month is packed with exciting offerings.
And to help you plan your trip to the parks this month, we made a comprehensive list of everything to expect at the Disneyland Resort in July 2025! Check it out:
4th of July
As with any holiday, expect to see some larger crowds on the 4th of July. The resort has patriotic, limited-time experiences and offerings for the holiday, which always attract more guests.

The 4th of July fireworks are a fan-favorite holiday experience that you don’t want to miss. With that said, prepare to camp out in a spot if you want a good view of them–they’re popular. (May the odds be ever in your favor.)

Disneyland’s 70th Birthday
Even more exciting arrivals are on the way, scheduled to make their big debuts on Disneyland’s actual 70th birthday, July 17th.
Let’s check them out:
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” and Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic
On July 17th, the new show, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” will open at the Main Street Opera House! The highly anticipated (and controversial) Walt Disney audio-animatronic will also debut with the show. Expect to see long waits for this experience–it’s the closest we’ll ever get to Walt!

The Opera House will also have other new experiences, like the gallery detailing the evolution of Walt Disney’s dream of Disneyland, a special exhibit with the story and history of audio-animatronics technology, and a display of over 30 artifacts from The Walt Disney Family Museum.

“it’s a small world” Last Verse Debut
That’s not all–on July 17th, the last verse of “it’s a small world” will debut in the attraction. Guests riding the attraction on or after this date will experience the new verse, written by Richard M. Sherman as his last contribution to Disney.

it’s a small world
Here’s the verse:
Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.

The Last Verse will also play at Disneyland’s Main Street Cinema, starting July 17th. The short film (three-and-a-half minutes long) celebrates the profound impact of the Sherman brothers’ iconic song, “It’s A Small World.” The last verse is played at the end of the film–check it out on YouTube:
