VIDEO: Watch the Dramatic Rescue of Two Guests Who Fell Overboard the Disney Dream
News is coming in fast about a dramatic and heroic rescue. Just yesterday, a dream vacation took a turn for the worse when a child fell overboard on the Disney Dream.
The Disney Cruise Line ship was returning from South Florida when a child fell overboard, and her father jumped into the ocean to save her.

The child fell overboard during the final leg of their Bahamian cruise, and observers report that her father immediately went into rescue mode.
Heroic Rescue
Witnesses claim the father tread water for approximately 10 minutes as the emergency alert and “man overboard” signals sounded throughout the ship.

Crewmembers immediately launched into rescue boats and tossed life preservers into the water. Ship guests went to social media, praising the cast members and the cruise line for their quick thinking and immediate action.
New Video of Rescue
Just hours after the incident, videos are emerging of the heroic rescue. The father is shown treading water with his daughter and his arms as a small rescue vessel approaches. He then handed her over to a rescue crew from the ship.
Disney takes guest safety and health seriously, and the cruise line shared the following statement:
“We commend our Crew Members for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our safety protocols.”
With various measures and safety protocols in place, it is unclear at this time how the child fell overboard. The good news is that both father and daughter are safe.
