PHOTOS: Animal Kingdom Star Kejana the Gorilla Undergoes Dental Procedure
While Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some of Walt Disney World’s best attractions, environments, and restaurants, anyone who has ever visited the park knows that the animals are the real stars.
Perfectly blending the majesty of nature with the kind of magic that only Disney can create, Animal Kingdom manages to entertain, enthrall, and educate guests at the same time.

Disney Continues to Educate
Since the park opened in 1998, it has promoted conservation and environmentalism through numerous initiatives. None, however, has been more important than the park’s commitment to educating guests about their animal care team.
By pulling the curtain back on Disney’s incredible care teams, Animal Kingdom has not only given fans a peek behind the scenes but also helped them gain a deeper understanding of the animals they interact with in the parks.

Against this backdrop, Dr. Mark Penning took to Instagram today to share that Kejana, the western lowland gorilla, has recently undergone a dental procedure after fracturing a canine tooth.

Kejana has been a part of the Disney Animal Kingdom family since the park opened and can be found on the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.

“During his visit, Kejana also received a CT scan, blood tests, and a cardiac ultrasound to ensure his overall health,” Dr. Penning explained.
