New Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Merch Arrives as BouTiki Fully Reopens
If you’ve surfed by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in the past few weeks, you may have noticed that a spot of disruption has been hitting the hotel’s Grand Ceremonial House.
No, it wasn’t Stitch breaking into the Dole Whip fridges at Pineapple Lanai, or the Tiki Gods taking the HippopotoMai-tais off the menu at Trader Sam’s! In fact, it’s over at BouTiki where guests may notice some changes…
Ever since the start of June, renovation work has been taking place here at the resort’s best-loved gift shop. During this time, half of the store was completely closed off to guests, while the other half stayed open, trading as usual.
Today, our reporters were pleased to see that this scheduled work had been completed, with the entire store now open and operating as before!
Of course, we had to go and take a look!
Tearing our eyes away from the exciting array of new merchandise on offer (more about that later!), we quickly noticed that the store’s flooring has had quite the upgrade this month!
Just look at these unusual panels. They’re designed to remind shoppers of sand and water — as if the Polynesian ocean is lapping at our feet!
We’re always happy to see new upgrades take place across Walt Disney World, and BouTiki definitely deserved this beautiful refresh.
A New Merchandise Line
While we were admiring the flooring, of course, we had to stop and check out the wares on offer at BouTiki, too!
One display which caught our eye was this one, full of colorful new pieces all inspired by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort itself…
Polynesian Resort “Aloha” Kid’s Hoodie
First up is this sweet gray pullover hoodie, featuring the resort’s iconic Tiki statue smiling in warm shades of blue and yellow on the front.
Behind the statue reads the word “Aloha”, and the resort’s snazzy logo title is printed under that. A great souvenir from a tropical trip!
Polynesian Resort “Aloha” Adult Hoodie
To match, we also found a larger, adult-sized version of the hoodie, in the form of this cool zip-up.
The gray sweater has the resort’s title printed on the front in blue, with that same “Aloha” design emblazoned boldly on the back.
