Years after the 2002 animated film Lilo & Stitch debuted, the live-action film version of Lilo & Stitch landed in theaters on May 23, 2025. Unsurprisingly, the film has been met with all kinds of success. But is it enough to warrant a sequel? Well, we have our answer!

Lilo & Stitch has become not only the highest-grossing 4-day Memorial Day weekend opening in U.S. history, but it has also grossed approximately $923 million globally.

Essentially, people love Stitch!
David Greenbaum, President of Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios, recently said, “Stitch is an example of what Disney actually does best.”
